Indigo6 captures the John Barrett salon team’s collaboration with breakout fashion designer Irina Shabayeva to create a neoclassic “Marie Antoinette” look for her Fall 2012 Collection. This dramatic hair frames the face, featuring height, volume, and spiraling tight curls. Check out a couple behind-the-scenes images.
Telephone: Beauty Editorial for On Makeup Magazine
The wired telephone has become a piece of fond nostalgia, harkening back to a time when a phone conversation required a fixed location. Calls were more intimate and the quality of voice was certainly better. We imagined a beauty story featuring different looks from different periods throughout the golden age of the house telephone. Check it out—along with other great beauty stories—in the On Makeup Magazine Fall 2011 issue.
EDITORIAL: Becoming Marilyn
Indigo6 recently collaborated with John Barrett Salon, The Weinstein Company and Authentic Brands Group to create our Modern Marilyn. Our interpretation of Marilyn Monroe’s iconic style was also featured in a sweepstakes that lead up to the launch of the “My Week with Marilyn” film in the US.
Roniann
Always intrigued by Mod-Style, Charles teamed up with Wilhelmina model Roniann (who is also a stellar makeup artist) to create a series of surreal mod-inspired images. Getting to play in the studio…. we couldn’t resist a gorgeous beauty shot as well. Enjoy.
EDITORIAL: The Hazy Shade of Summer
Drawing upon inspiration from Barrett’s Braid Bar, Indigo6 and the John Barrett Salon team created romantic, dreamy looks to showcase some of the salon’s favorite summer braids. This other-wordly story was shot in Central Park, NYC… with many many onlookers.
Shannone
We teamed up with super-stylist Barbette Smith to shoot the lovely Shannone from Ikon Models. It was a 100 degree day, though you would never know it by looking at Shannone.
Sasha
We worked with makeup artists/hair stylist Holly Corsano and makeup artist Justine Sweetman from Beauty Beat Down to create some pretty dramatic looks with Ikon model Sasha.
EDITORIAL: The Hair Apparent
Indigo6 recently had the opportunity to create a photo editorial at the venerable Bergdorf Goodman on 5th Ave. Inspired by the children’s tale, Eloise at the Plaza; we imagined what it might be like to have free run of Bergdorfs.
